Garishma Arora is a Consultant in J P Chawla & Co. LLP. She is functionally responsible for corporate legal, secretarial, legal and regulatory engagements in the firm.

She is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and she is also a commerce graduate from Delhi University. In addition, she also has done Bachelor of Law from Rajasthan University.

She has an extensive experience in the area of regulatory law matters including incorporation, management and closure of companies, limited liability partnership and other legal entities in India.

She also advices on various regulations on transactions such as infusion of capital, loans, change in control, change or addition in board of directors and partners in LLP, cross border funding including Foreign  direct investments and Overseas direct investment. She is also involved in FEMA advisory and compliances.

She also helps the firm in drafting of various legal agreements including shareholding agreements and carrying out legal and corporate law due diligence.

Her area of expertise includes representation, litigation, advisory and compliances relating to Indian Subsidiary of foreign companies, Indian companies & LLP’s, takeover and other regulatory areas.

Her experience includes working with various international MNCs and law firms. She has handled clients with business in Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Dentistry, Information Technology, E-commerce, and Media sectors to name a few.
